PITCH is here to elevate the voices of front-line pension professionals and turn everyday challenges into opportunities for change. We’re building a space where junior and mid-career practitioners can connect, share ideas, and drive innovation from the ground up. The focus is on real issues facing teams across Canada, from the systems and processes behind the scenes to the people doing the work every day.

Charles Bernatchez
I love solving problems and helping teams turn complex challenges into practical solutions. My work focuses on supporting modernization through thoughtful analysis, team collaboration, and a drive to deliver real value.
Outside of work, I mentor and coach youth in public speaking, leadership, and competitive marksmanship. When I get a break, you’ll find me on the trails with my dog Nico, a Husky–Great Pyrenees mix, enjoying the quiet and the view.
I’m excited to help shape PITCH into a space where people at all levels can share, connect, and lead change.

Rena Esmail
I’m passionate about improving processes, supporting others, and finding better ways to serve members. With over 15 years of experience at Alberta Pensions Services Corporation (APS), I’ve worked both on the front lines and in operations. I started in the Member Services Centre and now work as an Operations Coordinator, helping build member-focused solutions that work.
When I’m not thinking about pensions, I’m probably outside with my little guy, making the most of fresh air and sunshine.
I’m excited to be a part of PITCH and see it grow into something truly collaborative and meaningful.

Yemi Adegunju
I bring over 15 years of experience in pension administration, with a focus on solving complex problems and delivering strong results. I’ve led projects, coordinated teams and vendors, and developed tools that make pension processes more effective.
I believe that with the right people, training, and collaboration, we can tackle even the toughest challenges in pension administration.
Being part of PITCH gives me hope for a more connected, responsive pension community. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.
